Moto G4 Plus vs Yu Yunicorn vs Lenovo ZUK Z1 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Four phones launched recently in India in price range of INR 10,000 to 15,000 have a very tough competition among each other and also confusing the buyers, which one to buy ?  All the four phones are great value for money and steal deal at the price they are launched.

Here we will consider only 32 GB variants of all devices if more than one option available.

All the phones have same displays 1080p 5.5 inch giving finally a 401ppi. Not much of a difference but Yu Yunicorn has got a 2.5 D display. Also considering the protection on display, Yunicorn and Moto G4 Plus  are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 . Protection Redmi Note 3 and ZUK Z1 remains untold.

Verdict- Yunicorn have an edge

Moto G4 Plus-  16 MP, Dual LED Flash, 1080 video recording

Verdict Moto G4 Plus Camera is the best in tests among above 4.

Only ZUK Z1 supports 8 MP selfie camera others have only 5 MP cameras on front for selfie. None of devices support front flash.

Verdict- ZUK Z1 is the choice for those who takes a lot of selfies.

Looks and Handling

All the devices are easy to handle and good looking. Yunicorn and Redmi Note 3 have full metal frame and body. ZUK Z1 have metal frame on edges & curved glass on back and G4 Plus is having plastic body with a camera bump on back. Thickness of G4 Plus, ZUK Z1, Note 3 and Yunicorn are 9.8, 8.9, 8.7 and 8.2 mm respectively. Body size is nearlt same for all. G4 Plus have only average looks, I personally thinks G3 looks better than G4 Plus.

Verdict- It is personal choice but Yunicorn can be considerd as good choice has metal frame and thinner than others at 8.2 mm .

Moto G 4 Plus have the smallest size of battery at 3000 mAh. Hope its stock Android helps it conserve battery.

ZUK Z1, Redmi Note 3 and Yunicorn have 4100, 4050 and 4000 mAh battery sizes respectively. Not a big difference.

Verdict- Yunicorn have an upper edge due to its near stock Android. Rest we will see in real life tests.

Only Moto G4 Plus currently runs on Android v6 Marshmallow. All others are running Android v5.1 Lollipop. But Yu has promised to upgrade Yunicorn to Marshmallow soon. Note 3 features MIUI, Yunicorn features Android on Steroids and ZUK features Cyanogen OS.

Verdict- Moto G4 Plus is winner because it will stay updated with latest Android offerings in future also.

All the four devices are same on connectivity front, supporting Dual SIM 4G, WiFi , GPS, etc. None of them supports NFC. Only Moto G4 Plus supports micro sim cards while others support nano SIM cards.

Verdict- All are same.

Verdict- All are good performers having great CPU and GPU but Yunicorn have 4 GB RAM.

All supports 32 gig of internal storage but ZUK Z1 have 64 GB internal storage and have no SD card slot for memory expansion while others uses hybrid sim slot for micro SD card.

Verdict- All are same except the ZUK Z1 lacking micro SD card support and having 64 GB onboard.

All four have fingerprint sensor. Note 3 have it on back side below camera lens while the other three have it on front side below screen. Sensors of Note 3 and G4 Plus does not double up as home button.
